And 5% graphics design ? I don’t agree at all with this article on Information Architects Japan. I think its totally the opposite, typography is just the content part of the website and usually web designers put less than 5% on it, while most of the work is focused on the headers, menus, footers, boxes, images, disposition of all objects in the page, organizations of the navigation … etc. All web designers I know work almost with the same concept, and when I ask about the content they tell me just put your content inside. Do you agree that Web design is 95% typography ?!

95% of the information on the web is written language. It is only logical to say that a web designer should get good training in the main discipline of shaping written information, in other words: Typography.
