I was reading an interesting experience at the RedHerring titled Borrowing the software model to spur innovation in life sciences finds common ground with IT, where an original innovators in plant genetic research is calling to adopt the Software Open Source model in their researches. This will help to limit the domination of large companies who are setting very expensive patents and allow making more research and faster.
