sourceforge cca 2009
Best project category

xampp

XAMPP is probably the easiest way to get a complete cross-platform web stack consisting of Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Perl.

We should win because we help beginners, educators, and everyone else to get into today’s most important Internet technologies.

symfony

Symfony is a web framework that helps developing better, secure, and maintainable websites faster with PHP.

We should win because we fill the gap between the Open-Source world and what the enterprise needs in PHP.

Best new project category

flow3

Flow3 is a PHP based application framework which takes care of all the infrastructure and lets the developer focus on the domain of his application.

We should win because our passionate developers created a framework which suggests a new, clean and intuitive way of development a large part of the PHP community has been waiting for.

Best Tool or utility for SysAdmins
XAMPP is listed again here in addition to the best php mysql administration tool : phpmyAdmin.

phpmyadmin

phpMyAdmin is a web-based management interface for MySQL databases.

We should win because of the numerous testimonials we get from our community.

Best Utility for developers
XAMPP, phpMyAdmin and symfony are listed again in this category, in addition to Joomla Security Scanner. I voted here for Notedpad++ because it’s my fav and faster PHP editor under windows.

joomscan

Joomla Security Scanner is a regularly-updated security scanner written to detect known security vulnerabilities of a famous Joomla! web application.

We should win because 1) Joomla! is widely used, 2) new security holes are discovered almost monthly, and 3) there is still no dedicated security scanner for it.

Best project for the Enterprise
Symfony is listed again here. There are also many other interesting open source projects, the PHP ones are vtiger, the PHP-based CRM, Typo3 CMS, and OrangeHRM.

vtiger

vtiger CRM is a CRM solution that helps SMBs automate sales, marketing, and support operations.

We should win because we have a true open source platform, and our clients love our product enough to put us in the top of SourceForge downloads in the CRM space over the last 4 years.

typo3

TYPO3 is a website content management framework which allows people to easily create and manage websites and web applications.

We should win because TYPO3 perfectly fullfills its two mottos “Enabling people to communicate” for the software and “Inspiring people to share” for the community.

orangehrm

OrangeHRM fulfill your organization’s Human Resource Management needs – the free and open source solution.

We should win because our 5000 + community members have solved their Human Resource Manage issues by using OrangeHRM.
