Steve O’Hear posted on ZDnet blogs a rumors circulating about a google plan to build a virtual world based on Google earth. Well I don’t think it’s a rumor, since Google earth already support 3D models via SketchUp which have been acquired by Google too. So in total Google have already this very clearly, but what isn’t clear yet is how will Google put it in practice.
I think a virtual world will be an excellent advertising plateform, so I don’t think this is a rumor. I think better this will be a truth, but nobody can affirm about the availability of such platform. The second life of Google Earth, isn’t it Google SketchUp ?
