Google Aquired Writely

Writely is one of the new Web2.0 website launched recently to provide the office of the future. On Thursday google confirmed purchasing Writely. Currently the registration have been closed until future announcement, and usually google when purchasing new service make changes on it before relaunch it again, so we expect that some changes will be added to the product before to relaunch it again. Since google have announced recently their google page to create personal home pages, I think the Google Office is very near !

I’m worried by the politics of purchasing new companies every two days, is it an answer to the latest grow down of Google quotes or a strategy the google is following to dominate the web ? Both are possible anyway, and I think that we’ll hear more purchases in the next weeks or months for web 2.0 products.
