The Open Soruce initiative in my opinion was the revolution in the last decade in addition to the Internet. Today I was talking in a Free software mainling list, and a friend asked me if I was defending Blogs or Free software, and I think it was interesting to talk about Free software and open source as a mean not a goal, the same for blogs.
I don’t think its interesting to be just a militant in the open source initiative, just by defending its opinion. But its the result of an experience of many years and how it finished, this is the most important. How does people who developped the Open Source and the Free Software are living, why it’s an interesting initiative, could open source be a solution for enterprise ?
These questions and more I would like to talk about in this magazine, and in my opinion, since we are in a php magazine, PHP is an excellent example to talk about. The PHP experience with Open Source was certainly a successful experience, the same for linux, apache, perl, mozilla and many other very known projects.
We’ll talk also about news of the Open Source community, the most important projects, case studies, interviews as usual and more other interesting subjects. We have also lot of other interesting magazine about open source projects in phpmagazine.net so we hope to profit and make this space our source of information about the open source community.
