I just discovered this website today while surfing on Blogger, Google now have its own store : GoogleStore.

If you’re the N°1 search engine, you should know what people are looking for, and it’s realy genious to create a store of products where you can find everything Accessories, Fun, Kids, Office, Wearables and Software…

Google also is selling an Enterprise Solutions named Google Mini : “The Google Mini can provide search for up to 100,000 documents, and it supports over 220 different file types. The price includes 1 year of full customer support, software updates, and replacement coverage.”. It’s mini as its name said but 100,000 documents for a price of €2,995 I think that’s sooooooo much (+2 Year support : €1,043 ) ! Yeah maybe because its Google !

Google Store have 2 domain names googlestore.com and google-store.com, the first is owned and hosted by Google, and the second is owned by Andrew Lindsay and hosted somewhere else. The first website is in ASP and it’s in America, but the second one is powered by OsCommerce and in the bottom page you can see “Produced for Google Inc. by Merchandise Mania Limited.” and its for the rest of the world.

What I found strange is this note in the bottom of the home page of Google Store : “LAVA® and the LAVA® motion lamp trademarks are owned by Haggerty Enterprises, Inc. ” … googling again to see if there is something talk about this and found this article “Why Did Google Let The “Google Store” Trademark Die?” on the Industry Standard : “Google seemingly didn’t care enough about the Google Store trademark to pursue it through the approval process. Google Store is what it is – a low-profile stepchild for Google-themed merchandise.”
