The exciting news of the week come from ExtJS offices which becomes Sencha after combining forces with the jQTouch and Raphael JS projects. Sencha Touch, the first product, is also the first HTML5 mobile application framework allows your web apps to look and feel like native apps. Beautiful user interface components and rich data management, all powered by the latest HTML5 and CSS3 web standards and ready for Android and Apple iOS devices.

Sencha Touch UI provides already AJAX, icons, audio, nested lists, video, sortable lists, carousel, overlay, picker, toolbars, drag & drop, and Geolocation.

Sencha Touch is built specifically to leverage HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript for the highest level of power, flexibility, and optimization. We make specific use of HTML5 to deliver components like audio and video, as well as a localStorage proxy for saving data offline

Demos shows many interesting apps built for mobile handsets including KivaTouch, TouchSolitaire, and GeoCongress. Released under a GNU GPL license v3, there is no commercial licensing at this time but expect to see it available soon.
