I think that someone have noticed how popular are social networks and thought about using this bonus in presidential election. You might guess who I’m talking about, Barack Obama.
BarackObama.com is currently making the buzz over the web for creating its own social network under my.BarackObama.com, while we are still far away from the election in 2008 ! But the social network isn’t the only think that you will notice there, you can see also the usage of Creative Commons license, Blog, Gallery (SlideShowPro that we use here too), the TV, Newsroom … etc. !
Can the web change the way how politics and election goes ? I find the Obama experience really amazing and this is one of the first that I saw digging into technology usage in his website. But I’ll say hat off for this decision and for consultants who recommended this for the presidential campaign website.
Did I mention that the website is using PHP ? and if you look into html sources you’ll see jQuery too.
