Atomic is an Atom protocol client for creating and manipulating Atom feeds. It can communicate with any number of different Atom protocol servers that support introspection. The plugin is a sidebar, you can view it from View->Sidebar->Atomic. At the very first startup (opening of the sidebar), it should prompt you for preferences and have you pick a file for the service list. The default is inside the extension’s directory in your mozilla folder.

To do anything useful, you need to have access to an Atom Protocol server. That may be the hardest one as the protocol is still a draft RFC. You can setup your own Atom protocol server using the eXist XML database. Click on the right most icon button in the sidebar to add a service. You’ll need the service introspection URL for this. Once the service appears, you can double-click on the service in the list of services in the sidebar to get a list of collections.
