A new Firefox version 1.5.0.2 have just been released with mainly a native support for Macintosh with Intel Core processors, stability and security enhancements that are part of our ongoing program to provide a safer Internet experience for users. Users should receive already a notice to update automaticly the software, but if it does not you can still get the latest version from getFirefox.com. The release notes of this new version include :
* Universal Binary support for Mac OS X which provides native support for Macintosh with Intel Core processors. Firefox supports the enhancements to performance introduced by the new MacIntel chipsets.
* Improvements to product stability.
* Several security fixes including :
– Spoofing with translucent windows
– Security check of js_ValueToFunctionObject() can be circumvented
– Privilege escalation through Print Preview
– Privilege escalation using crypto.generateCRMFRequest
– File stealing by changing input type
– CSS Letter-Spacing Heap Overflow Vulnerability
– Crashes with evidence of memory corruption (rv:1.8.0.2)
